Luke Burgis is the founder and director of the Cluny Institute and Professor of Business at the Catholic University of America. He is the author of Wanting: The Power of Mimetic Desire in Everyday Life and The One and the Ninety-Nine: Forging Identity in the Age of Social Contagion. He is the editor of the newly released collected volume Be Not Conformed: René Girard at the Intersection of Athens, Jerusalem, and Silicon Valley.
